Legend of Korra: Civil Wars Part II

Civil Wars Part II

So far this episode was my favorite out of all the episodes that have aired as of now. The story is finally staring to pick up and the action as well. There was a nice amount of action and teamwork displayed within this episode by Team Avatar. I'm still hoping that during this season Bolin will get some great character development. Also, it was great to see Asami back in action. At first, I was all for Bolin/Eska but seeing how she's so abusive and heavily into bondage I just had to abandon ship.

Legend of Korra: Civil Wars Part I

Civil Wars Part I

In this episode, Korra was quite the jerk to everyone. Also, it's pretty easy to see that Korra's uncle is manipulating her. Mako gives horrible dating advice and his overall character is just a big meh. This season so far is definitely dealing with more of the political duties of the avatar more than anything.

Memory Lane #07

Avatar the Last Airbender

I really can't say it more than enough, but they just don't make animated shows like they used to. This show is a masterpiece within it's self everything from the story, to the characters, music, and art direction is superb.

Veronica Mars

I only decided to watch this show because I was curious about it, and wanted to know why the fan base of this show felt so strongly about it. I can safely say that the show Veronica Mars has it's ups and downs, and it has an occasional mix of good and bad. First of I'd like to say that my overall favorite season of this show is hands down season 1. The other seasons felt disconnected to me and the characters weren't as tightly bound, and showed up little to none or were all over the place. I also sometimes found myself becoming extremely bored when watching some of the episodes. As far as Veronica's love life goes I really like her and Duncan together, and after that I like Veronica and Piz together. I really don't like Veronica and Logan together because it just spells unnecessary drama, angst, and disaster. I have this ominous feeling that Veronica and Logan will get back together again in the upcoming film and I cringe at the thought of it alone. The season that had the best finale was definitely season 2, followed by season 1, and than season 3.

 Verdict

After watching all 3 seasons I guess I can kinda see why this show was popular around the time that it aired, but I really wished that Veronica took some form of martial arts, or at least carried a pistol or something with her when she works these sometimes life threatening and endangering cases because a little-bitty taser isn't going to cut it.

Memory Lane #04

Series: Xena: Warrior Princess

This show had a little bit of everything in it action, romance, friendship, and adventure. The theme song is memorable, the characters add different dynamics, and the show is great to watch in general. This show is part of some of my fond memories from my childhood.

Memory Lane #02

I remember back in the day when Cartoon-network was still a decent network watching this show. The intro was memorable and had a catchy tune to go along with it. This show was also good at introducing central comic book characters within the Superman Universe and nicely integrating them into the show.

Smallville

For those of you who have been wondering why I've been m.i.a for the past few weeks it's because I decided whimsically to watch all 10 seasons of Smallville. At first the thought of watching all 218 episodes in which each episode is roughly 40 something minutes with the exception of some episodes being either shorter or longer can be a very tedious task. Growing up I never really paid attention to Smallville heck, I didn't even know that the show was about Superman until when I was in 8th grade by then the show was on it's 8th season.

Smallville at it's core is the coming of age story of how Clark Kent became Superman and all of the trials and tribulations that he had to go through and overcome to get there. I greatly enjoyed this show as I've never really experienced it when it was airing on tv. It was fun seeing the characters develop over the seasons and grow as characters. My favorite 3 seasons are seasons 4,7 and 9. I enjoyed the beginning of season 8 until Lana Lang came back. Her coming back just soured the rest of the season for me, but her character did need a little bit more closure after what happened at the end of season 7.

Main Relationships

ClarkxLana (Clana)

At first for me the Clark and Lana ship was cute and typical, but as the seasons went on it became nothing but an endless cycle of drama and annoyance and made me come to dislike Lana as a character more than I would have liked. I also didn't like the fact that whenever Lana was involved the writers of the show decided to make Clark a love sick puppy. After she left permanently the show became more enjoyable to me again.

ClarkxLois (Clois)

I really liked the build up to Clark's and Lois's romance. From starting off as disliking each other, to friends, and eventually to lovers. It was fun and exciting watching these two share the screen together and watch their always entertaining banter. Their relationship was very sensual and not as drama filled as the Clana relationship and as we all know that Lana may have been Clark's high school love, but Lois is Clark's true and one and only human soul-mate.

Overall, Smallville is a very spectacular show and everyone should experience or watch it at least once in their lifetime.

Arrow

Since there was a lot of hype surrounding this particular show I decided to give it a try and watch it and I was pleasantly surprised. It's like watching the Star City version of Batman of course in a good way. Personally, I've never really looked to deep into Green Arrow's character and this show gave an excellent lead way into his character and it made me see Green Arrow in a different light than before.

Ringer

Review

Contains slight SPOILERS!!!

I just hate it when a good show or a show with so much potential gets shot down or cancelled and that's exactly what happened to this show. I've just recently finished watching this show and I thoroughly enjoyed each and every episode.

Even though the show's plot was nothing groundbreaking in terms of story it still showcased a gripping and compelling story and good character development. All of the characters in the show had their own little niche and character arch-type that they fell into. The one character that annoyed the hell out of me was Juliette Martin Andrew Martin's daughter. You thought that she would be one of those characters that you hate at first but grow to love latter and boy was I wrong in that regard. With Juliette it was just wash, rinse, and repeat a never ending cycle of annoyance on her part, causing unnecessary trouble for everyone and never learning from it.

Verdict

A good show that if you ever need something to watch to occupy your time then watch this show

Score: 9.1

The Vampire Diaries

When this show 1st premiered back in the fall of 2009 I fell in love with it and watched all of the episodes on Thursday as they aired on tv even though the show differed greatly from the novels. I thoroughly enjoyed the 1st and 2nd seasons, but when the 3rd season came around I had a falling out with the show and lost interest in it as a whole. In the past week thanks to Tumblr and all of the spoilers, pics and gifs that are posted on there daily the show became intriguing and interesting to me again when I saw posts pertaining to the currently airing 4th season of the show. I have now caught up with the episodes and am interested in what this season's finale holds. In recent news, the Vampire Diaries was renewed for a 5th season and that's great and all, but if I have to be honest I hope that it's the last season of this tv series before the writers really go off the deep end on the plot of this show.
